The Human Adventure of the FFFSH

The French Federation of Historical Festivals and Shows is an association governed by the 1901 law.
Its purpose is to bring together, in a spirit of friendship and efficiency, all French structures, whether associative or municipal, that organize or provide historical festivals and live shows.
All members aim to animate, enhance, and promote historical, architectural, and human heritage.

Unite, work together

Our members share a common interest in organizing cultural events with a historical focus. History, heritage, and artistic creation all play a role in the development of collective projects or in public spaces.
They contribute to building a society that invests in values that help combat the isolation of groups or individuals, and discrimination.
Access to culture for all, learning about citizenship, and empowering younger generations to take responsibility are priorities.
Bringing together the organizers of historical festivals and shows across all territories means fostering and developing a national network that mobilizes more than 20,000 volunteers – representing 3 million hours of volunteer work – and hundreds of technical and artistic service providers.
It also means uniting educational actions, lifelong learning, supporting territories in transition, and innovative activities that work daily for equal access to culture beyond differences.

Culture and partnership

As the national network leader, the FFFSH has built a broad network of partnerships over the years. We have pursued this ambition in order to enhance the visibility of our members, key players in cultural tourism in France.
Our collaboration with COFAC, FNCOF, FFATP, and CEFMH has been fruitful; it has contributed to the success of all the shows and historical festivals organized by our members.
